Potts' double-double lands him Liga MB Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

American Guard Daylon Potts (196-G) put on an amazing game in the last round for MC El Brasil Santa Ana and receives a Hoops Agents Liga MB Player of the Week award for round 2.
He had a double-double of 22 points and 22 rebounds, while his team lost the game against the league's best team Salvadorenos (#2, 2-0) 56-104. Santa Ana maintains the 9th position in Salvadorean Liga MB. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 2 games and recorded no victories. In the team's last game Potts had a remarkable 72.7% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Santa Ana and just after two games he already turned to be a very valuable addition to the team. Simpson University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Potts is league's best scorer averaging so far 27.5ppg and leads league in rebounds with 25.0rpg. Potts is in league's top in and averages solid 2.0bpg,4.0spg,64.0% FGP and 44.4% from behind 3-point line. Worth to mention Potts played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

Second best performed player last round was Eliezer Sanchez of ITD Santa Tecla BC. He is a in his first season at Santa Tecla. In the last game Sanchez recorded an impressive double-double of 16 points and 18 rebounds. Of course he led Santa Tecla to another comfortable win 80-61 over Ahuachapan (0-2) being unquestionably team leader. His team has extremely good start of the season. They won both games so far. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Sanchez is one of the most experienced players at Santa Tecla and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.0ppg (#9). He also registered 16.0 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to Ibrahima Traore (208-C/F-2005) of league's second-best Salvadorenos BC. Traore scored 17 points and grabbed 13 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Salvadorenos, leading his team to a 104-56 easy win against Santa Ana (#9, 0-2). Salvadorenos has a very good start of the season. But there were just 2 games played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Traore also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. Traore has a great season in El Salvador. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 11.5rpg (5th best). Ibrahima Traore has also Salvadorean passport and can play in the league with a status of domestic player.
